Patriots Post Season Brings More Business To Providence-Area

(Providence, RI)  --  The Providence-area economy is scoring with the AFC Champion New England Patriots in Foxboro, Massachusetts.  Executive Director of the Rhode Island Sports Commission John Gibbons says the Patriots two playoff games helped fill unsold rooms during the otherwise slow winter season.  Rooms were going for a premium price of nearly 300-dollars a night.  The Providence hotels were so filled up they couldn't accommodate the block of rooms for the Patriots' opponent the Pittsburgh Steelers who had to stay in Boston.
