(North Providence, RI) -- A new solar farm has been completed in North Providence. Southern Sky Renewable Energy's two-and-a-half-megawatt array is at the former municipal landfill on Smithfield Road. Governor Gina Raimondo and Senate President Dominick Ruggerio joined the president of Southern Sky and North Providence Mayor Charles Lombardi for a ribbon-cutting on Wednesday.
