(Washington, DC) -- Congressman David Cicilline is being elected to a House leadership position. Cicilline was chosen yesterday as the chairman of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, a newly created position. He was previously a co-chair. The 1st District Democrat originally announced plans to run for the party's assistant leader position, but yielded to New Mexico Congressman Ben Ray Lujan.
