Report Points Out Apparent Political Donations From Strip Clubs

(Providence, RI)--Republican leaders in Rhode Island are upset about reported political contributions from the state's strip club contingent.State GOP chairman Brandon Bell tells The Providence Journal that his party is considering filing a complaint with the Board of Elections after a weekend Journal story that indicated thousands of dollars came from people who own the clubs or work at them, but the donations were listed as having come from a lobbying law office.Recipients included House Speaker Nicholas Mattiello and Governor Gina Raimondo, according to the report.
