Vandalism Follows Peaceful Protest Saturday At Rhode Island State House

(Providence, RI)--A peaceful protest of violence committed against black people by police in the United States happened at the State House in Providence on Saturday.Reports indicate thousands of people attended the rally organized by the Rhode Island chapter of the Black Lives Matter movement.After that rally, however, authorities reported vandalism to State House property, including spray-painted anti-police messages and the phrase "I can't breathe".On the other end of the Providence-Boston corridor, peaceful protests by day turned into violent ones Sunday night which has triggered the activation of the National Guard.
