(Providence, RI) -- Rhode Island has moved into a new coronavirus transmission category. The state health department said Monday the virus is being spread at a high level. However, no new virus deaths were reported over the weekend; the number of COVID fatalities in Rhode Island in July was five, the lowest number during the pandemic. Hospitalized patients in the Ocean State dropped below thirty.
