The future of a regional climate and transportation initiative that includes Rhode Island is unclear.
Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont said earlier this week he was no-longer pursuing the effort because of high gas prices.
However, Lamont has reversed course and said he would sign such a bill if it reached his desk.
Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker said Thursday that his state is out. Governor McKee is away for the holidays and is not expected to comment right now.
