It is a sign of the times.
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence has announced the merger of All Saints Parish with St Joseph Parish- both of Woonsocket.
Officials say the merger comes about because of declining attendance at All Saints Church.
The merger will take place next month.
The merger comes a little more than a year after All Saints Church merged with St. Charles Borromeo Parish for the same reason.
Catholic Churches throughout New England and the nation have experienced declining numbers throughout the years.
