A word to the wise should be sufficient here.

There will be extra State Police patrols on Rhode Island highways on New Year's Eve.

Troopers will be looking for people driving drunk.

Colonel Darnell Weaver says the worst days for troopers are at the scene of deadly crashes, especially those that involve impairment.
