Massachusetts Coast Guarding Leading Search For Missing Sub

U.S. Coast Guard crews based in Boston are assisting with the search for a missing submarine that was headed to explore the Titanic wreckage.

The submarine with five people inside made the dive Sunday, and lost contact with the vessel where it launched from after less than two hours.

The sub can sustain itself for 96 hours, and rescuers are doing everything possible to find the vessel quickly.

The area of the Titanic wreckage is 13-thousand feet below the water surface.

Officials are not identifying the people on board. They say there were about 72 hours of oxygen on the vessel.
