Tesla Regional Hub Headed To Providence

Electric carmaker Tesla is expanding in Rhode Island.

Providence property manager Joseph Paolino Jr. announced on Monday that the hub will open next year at the former Stop and Shop off Reservoir Avenue.

The planned 76-thousand-square-foot center that includes a repair shop and showroom is expected to create thirty full-time jobs.

Tesla opened its first Rhode Island store in Warwick in 2019.

The Providence project is not expected to have any impact on the Warwick operation.
