RIPIN MISSION STATEMENT
Founded in 1991, the Rhode Island Parent Information Network (RIPIN) is a statewide, 501(c)(3), charitable, nonprofit organization with a collective programmatic reach that extends to every Rhode Island community, the state’s major family-serving systems, schools, associations, and agencies. Our mission is to inform, educate, support and empower all families to be equal partners in advocacy for the education, health, and socioeconomic well being of their children and families; and to achieve family-centered systems changes, which are culturally competent and community based. RIPIN offers eleven programs and services to families with children in RI, including families of children with special needs. We serve more than 65,000 Rhode Islanders each year.

Say Hello to Amy Gray…
Wednesday 03-28-2007 8:40am ET
Host Amy Gray has a background in journalism, television news, marketing and public relations. But today, there are two roles that uniquely qualify her to be your friend and guide on the challenging journey of parenthood.
As the single parent of two young boys, ages 5 and 8, she has first-hand experience to share, having transitioned one of her own sons from Rhode Island’s Early Intervention program to its Special Education program.
“Helping parents navigate the many agencies out there is so rewarding,” says Amy.
“I know how frustrating it can be to find not just help, but exactly the right kind of help. Hosting Family 411 is an exciting opportunity to offer a forum for all parents, whether they have a special needs child or just a five-year-old with temper tantrums.”
