Even those of us who watch what we eat can occasionally experience that uncomfortable burning sensation in the chest often known as heartburn. When we eat a lot or eat too quickly, the acid becomes more active and finds its way up and out of the stomach's protective lining. We then experience the burning sensation when the acid comes in contact with the esophagus, which doesn't have the stomach's protective lining.
To reverse this sensation, we typically take antacid tablets like Tums. But not only do we not have to resort to these artificial remedies, we don't even have to imbibe anything at all. Along with following a simple, natural diet and not eating too much or too quickly, we can utilize a simple form of aromatherapy. Simply mix one fluid ounce of coconut oil with 6-8 drops of lavender oil and rub it on your chest. This will offer you some much needed relief.
